I heard a good scam last night.
A mother gets the grandmother to look after her two kids 2 days a week.
The grandmother cops the carers allowance.
Fair enough....
BUT on those two days the mother preforms childcare for other parents.
Surely thats double dipping?
She is dirty because the government is now asking questions.
And also the grandmother doesn't always have the children but still claims the allowance.
Rorts like that have to be stamped out rather than the right harping on about the few bucks the government gives single mothers.
