I agree.
It is very easy to confuse humourous sledging and banter with insult and defamation on a forum like this, like it is also on email etc.
The person isn't in front of you and there is no way to interpret the spirit in which they make a comment.
Aqua and the Good Dr and JP. would a simple apology or two go astray here. You can be right in your opinion and even with facts but can still offend someone. History will always prove that it is easier in the long run to apologies than go to war.
None of you need this stress. Take a moment to think about the abundance you have and how fortunate you are, compared with 90% of the other poor buggers you share this planet with.
Is this really worth the argument. Looking on from the side lines this looks like a simple misunderstanding and some have over stepped the mark. surely we all do that from time to time and tolerence would suggest we just get over it. It's a new year, we are extremely privalidged and lucky to have all we have so why not make up and move on - surely that is the best course of action here .
