Over the Xmas I spoke to a friend who is changing jobs, (He is a tradesman) and the reason for the change is that the place he is at is not a union shop and so he has a lot of benefits locked away which will not be available until he is back in a union job.
As I said they have too much power and they do not work for the benefit of the workers but themselves
