Alan Kohler article in Age re Unw and AUS as well
as SP telecom....seems WiMax may be the govt
preferred platform..i.e AUS and UNW....also the govt
have about 1.1 bill to lavish on the telecom industry..
If I was going for the big one...I like AUS because it will
probably get a lot of support from the govt re the " bush" ...I think I read it will spend $50 million on WiMax
to link 15 towns and 250,000 people and that's cheap..
so maybe AUS will be the bush telegraph as it is with
Austar paid tele and let the govt off the hook a la telstra in the bush....my opinion is AUS for a monopoly
in the bush , UNW will be a takeover target , Telstra
will then flourish...SP telecom , MAQ etc..no idea..
Just my thoughts out in the left field of never ever land
