Lapdog, whilst I agree with you that we shouldnt violate our own principles and values, there becomes a small problem in that the people we are talking about... the extremist elements within the Islamic faith, in my opinion dont have any principles and values at all. In that case, to stop them from doing what they are, I think its a small price to pay to re-evaluate our principles and values...

Personally, I'm all for capital punishment... that is actually one thing I value as a way to dispose of scum. I might not want to kill someone, but I'm sure if someone was going to kill my family... I would use a gun and give them a warning shot right between the eyes.

You are correct... the courts of the land dont seem to enfore what the general population want... but the people I'm talking about dont give a rats about the courts. Get caught in Australia plotting a terrorist act to kill people... and oh my god, you might get a few years in jail

Perhaps if we captured them, whereever they are in the world, put them before the World Court.... and enforced my principles and values of capital punishment... by sending a few thousand or them to Allah, it might have a result. But that will never happen.
