Findings frm an appraisal well r dependent on the final location & subsurf data interp/calibration frm the 3D-seismics & WL log data (sonic, gamma, res) acq'd from the drilled well.

Should they have a decent domal structural trap with steep dipping strata, then they could always drill a high angle well section to intersect the diff oil bearing sands.

They should plan on drilling SNE-2 (which IMO is a soft target) as an appraisal well first up. It's a no brainer with a clear GOC & OWC in the sands. So they could cut conventional cores at SNE-2 & do a production test & verify the 36m of net oilpay & 32API oil.

Another thing to keep in mind is the distance betwn the 2 wells, as one needs to prove whether there is pressure continuity in the same reservoir sands at 2 locations. I wont go into this as its a complex topic.

I think Cairn should b able to lock in 2C-330 mmbbls at SNE easily, revisit Fan-1 to intersect the OWC & also drill the Buried Hills prospect. Hope this helps.

FAR should have their Dec qtrly out by Jan end, so hope they shed more light on the cash situation & fwd plans (other then the Kenyan onshore drill).
