telstra cuts wholesale rates in dying markets, page-2

in today's Australian an article says tls is using it's old copper network to finance it's new broadband network.
Obviously the more money they can ring out of the old network the better. Also getting competitors to use the network might stop them from developing their own networks.
Just wondering though, the extent this discounting will have on the bottom line.
May lead to a increase in volume to compensate for lower prices.
Anyway because I don't know what is happening I bought one day and sold the next.
Better to be safe than sorry.
Anybody who thinks they know what is happening with internal finances either up or down is yanking his chain.
