If it's not Abbott eventually someone will have to do it because the current budget is totally unsustainable and short term tax measures only put a finger in the dyke.
Ageing demographic means the situation will exacerbate .Economists from Chris Richardson down have spoken about it ,you can't continue to live beyond your means without lasting sustainable measures to rein in spending and the only areas that have a definable impact on that are those that he's sought to remodify.Oh and where on earth the money for NDIS is going to come from is the next black hole
Of course those who see everything in political terms aren't really concerned with whether this country sinks into banana republic status ,which is where it's headed
