Adriano, Rio wanted to float the coal down the Zambezi river which is 400km, vale wanted to build a rail, corridor which was 900km. There are few parallels apart from it being the development of a resource and infrastructure to transport the product. It was an extremely complicated politically driven play that Rio dropped the ball on. Read on below
