Carpenter stands by uranium policy

West Australian Premier Alan Carpenter has again reiterated his Government's anti-uranium mining policy.
Prime Minister John Howard says a deal to sell uranium to China could be reached as soon as next week.
On Saturday, China's Premier arrives in Perth for talks with Mr Carpenter.
Mr Carpenter says despite the federal moves, WA's position is clear.
"If the Premier raises with me uranium then I'll address it by explaining to him our situation," he said.
"However I doubt very much that he's unaware of our situation."
