What is now abundantly clear as demonstrated by the share price, is that this company has no support in the market from any broker and that the major shareholders are too frightened to risk their own capital in supporting the share price to enable a successful raising. The major shareholder will only contribute on an underwriting basis (their shares will be cheaper than yours) if they can get others to prop up the share price for them by supporting the raising. It would have been appropriate for the major shareholder to announce their intention to take up their entitlement at the same price as everyone else then to underwrite a further number at a discounted price. Does anyone know what discount is being offered to what appears the only underwriter? Has anyone else been offered underwriting opportunities? In the mean time this FOOL will sit on the sidelines and watch with awe what will happen to this charitable institution.
