Not all of the genes in a sequence of DNA are expressed....have you not heard of 'junk dna? ''In genetics, the term junk DNA refers to regions of DNA that are noncoding. DNA contains instructions (coding) that are used to create proteins in the cell. However, the amount of DNA contained inside each cell is vast and not all of the genetic sequences present within a DNA molecule actually code for a protein''

'Junk DNA' - being vast and non coding, is thought to probably be the archeological record genetics. Consider recapitulation, the human fetus begins with gills and a tail, hardly recognizable as human until further development.

Also consider epigenetics, where gene and sequences are stitched on or off in response to environmental conditions.

There is enough genetic material present with a genome to express a wide range of body types in response to environmental pressure.

You still ignore the issue of equilibrium and punctuated equilibrium. If the environmental niche that a species occupies is relatively stable, there is no pressure to adapt or evolve.

It is environmental pressure that drives evolution. A species either adapts and evolves in response to environmental challenge, or goes extinct and another species takes that niche....which is what happens after extinction events, when speciation goes into overdrive.

That what the fossil record shows, and this is basic stuff. That I have to explain the basics to theists/creationists shows the poor level of understanding that creationists have.

And it gets quite tiresome when you know that whatever is said, or whatever evidence is presented, it shall never be accepted by creationists, who obviously prefer magical solutions.
