The LNP don't properly explain to mug punters the impact of selling dividend paying assets.
Its a zero sum game (plus or minus $100 million). Queensland saves about $2 billion in interest BUT they lose about $2 billion in dividends per year.
Queenslanders will be worse off in the long run because the private sector will be saddled with that debt and to get a return on that investment they will cut jobs and jack up prices. Its a no-brainer prices will rise otherwise the private sector WOULD NOT TOUCH THESE ASSETS WITH A BARGE POLE.
