this is a perfect time for the abbott govt to step in and take some equity in this operation. If foreign govts see that the australian govt will stand behind strategic businesses such Lynas, protecting the REE market from foreign manipulation, then we might see the REE market return to a more balanced situation. It would should that the Abbott govt has guts and is prepared to back aussies against foreign manipulation of our export markets. The moral and the business cases are excellent.
