    '''I have proved that God is not jealous, therefore God is love.

    Love is not jealous.

    God is love.''

    In your dreams.

    As others have pointed out, it is understandable that you cannot acknowledge the proof of vindictiveness, violence and jealousy as demonstrated by the verses of the Bible. nevertheless, they are there for anyone to see and they say what they say.

    It is telling that you have not tried to address the contradictions between verses, instead choosing to repeat the failed argument of semantics. Which, as I've already pointed out, represent in practical terms, not 'good' jealousy, but the green eyed Monster itself.

    All that's left for you is to make assertions that you have 'proven' your case, which you have not, and ignore all evidence to the contrary;

    "God is love." - 1 John 4:8
    "Love is not jealous." - 1 Corinthians 13:4
    "God is jealous." - Exodus 20:5
    Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.'' 1 Corinthians 13;

    The contradictions being:
    1) Love is patient, love is kind - in opposition to - He is a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins. Joshua 24:19
    2) It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. - in opposition to - "The Lord shall go forth as a mighty man, He shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: He shall cry, yea roar; He shall prevail against His enemies". Isaiah 42:13
    3) It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs - in opposition to - Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them. Ezekiel 8:18
    4) Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth - in opposition to - Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them. Ezekiel 8:18
    5) It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres - in opposition to - Whatever the Lord pleases, He does, In heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps.” (Psalm 135 and Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?" (Amos
    3:6, KJV)

    The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. << Psalm 145:9 >> as opposed to: Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers. Isaiah 14:21
    The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. << Psalm 145:9 >> as opposed to; He is a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins. Joshua 24:19
    The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. << Psalm 145:9 >> as opposed to; The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, ... their land shall be soaked with blood, ... For it is the day of the LORD's vengeance. Isaiah 34:7-8

    What appears 'obvious' from your perspective is seen through the filter of your faith. You either literally cannot perceive the evidence that goes contrary to your beliefs, or cannot acknowledge its existence.

    You need to take all of the information into account in order to build a more accurate mental representation (belief) of the picture the Bible paints of its God. Not only the good bits, but the bad: the vindictiveness, the pathological need to be worshiped, the display of resentment when people turn to 'false gods' and the consequent punishments that exceed the 'crime' itself.

    If this was a human being, it would not be an account of a healthy well adjusted individual, but a self absorbed narcissist who takes sides and condemns and kills, when, having the power and ability, could alter the course of events in order to create an ideal world.

    The apologetic argument that a mistranslation means that God is not jealous in the true sense of the word fails on many levels, verses that paint a picture of an angry vindictive God, and also the given alternative, that the because the word Ganno means ''fiery passion'' or words to that effect, that this sanitizes jealousy.

    It does not, in fact it changes nothing...'fiery passion'' in the form of resentment or a sense of threat to one's attachments, needs, worship, etc, is 'jealousy'' in it's true sense.

    So the apologetic argument of 'good jealousy' fails on all levels, semantics, supporting references and most of all, the given descriptions of the character and nature of the Bible God.
