you are wrong 
the word 'feelings' represents a mental response to experience that is far more passive than 'love'
for example, the warmth of the sun or a soft touch on the skin 'feel' nice
whereas 'love' is a form of desire because it propels/compels/moves/activates action
plus it results in the creation of other such desires/emotions, such as anger, jealously, etc
I understanding some gain their information from pop songs but the information in pop songs may not always be correct
