I'm gonna be up front here, I worked the booths on election day, I was on Newman's booth for half the day...I rubbed shoulders with the "Save the Reef" mob who were all over the booths with how to vote cards they handed out and calling out to people to put LNP last, then the Greens with their how to vote card also calling out to put the LNP last, and then the ALP supporters with their cards calling for the LNP last...there were three bands of opposition to the LNP volunteers in every booth.
That coupled with the blatant lies in the advertisments and even on some ALP candidates web sites...they got their way in the end...and we the taxpayer WILL pay and pay and pay.
Yeah I had an ALP voter just take the LNP card, stare at me and tear up it up in front of me, others yelled "I hope you lose", another screwed up the paper and threw it on the ground after taking it...that's the type of people that vote for the ALP.
They will come right up to your face with a sneer and tell you they are voting Labor...such lovely people...NOT
