I'm afraid you don't understand the clinical relevance of liver fat. As I mentioned in an earlier post, doctors are not generally interested in the amount of liver fat a patient has - it has little clinical significance. It is whether that fat is associated with inflammation, which can lead to fibrosis and then cirrhosis which is the key. Hepafat does not tell a doctor that. As such, it has relatively limited clinical utility in current medical practice. I can assure you, there will not be wide clinical uptake of an imaging technique that only quantifies total liver fat.
