I had a similar prob with another stock. announcement at 3 pm ish. wouldn't let me place a buy order as too far above the last sale. rang them and in the end they suggested I place it at market which I did at 3.58pm. by the time they executed the order at 10.15am the next day the price had gone from .49 to .91 with multiple sales on the way up . I ranted at them but it was all water off the proverbial.
