re: howard may yet sideline; rtenn Hi seals,

I was just commenting that when a politician especially a PM mentions something that important like overriding the states, then IMHO he will probably do it. The PM, IMHO would have said he was misquoted if it wasn't on his mind.
I don't know the sales figure of Uranium, however I believe it is higher than your figure of 300 Million, but it is still very small compared to what it will be in the future, with increased sales and the price of U up by over 4 times since 2001. Don't forget even now, there is only a hand full of U producers world wide.
You also have to realize that in countries like Australia and Canada, it will take years to get a Uranium mine commissioned with the controls for safety that are in place.
Lastly, the most important thing to remember is that most mining stocks are explorers no matter what metal you are talking about, and have no intention of producing. They will probably sell out to a major if a large find is made on their land.
Explorers in bull markets have always IMHO been valued not by what they produce, since they produce noithing, but by the value of the resource in the ground.
Alot of investors forget that, thinking a stock can't be worth much if it is not producing anything.
If you were around during the last great bull market in resources you would be staggered by the value that some explorers were valued at and trading at, just from the value of their resources in the ground.
And if someone will say that when the bull market is over, the resouce stocks will go down in value, I say so IMHO, sell during the bull market, not when it is over.
