This stereotype belies the truth of a dynamic nation. Read recently that there are 60mill people in China earning more than US$100k/a. Ignore them at your peril!

When the excreta hits the cooling device in the US, China need only revalue the Yuan to reduce import costs and become more of a domestic focused economy.

At the moment, one Chinese company undercuts the rest in the export market but they have already driven "free world" manufacturers to the wall. They could double their FOB prices and we would still be addicted to their "cheap" products. The commodities market will still exist and we will still be in the box seat.
