A 2% reduction in the issued shares as a result of the off-market buyback is hardly going to deliver better returns to the remaining shareholders. On that assumption, its probably a good deal to sell into it.
Conversely, the $2 B on market buy pack programme will reduce the share pool by about 8% and should have a material impact on shareholder returns.
