misty, this is not some ancient woo woo mystical idea....it isn't even quantum physics. This is just plain ol' theory of relativity 101. The order in which we perceive things happening can swap depending on where we view an event from. The concept of past, present and future is at best a nebulous one. This has been proven experimentally.
There is a 4 part series hosted by physicist Brian Greene called "Fabric of the Cosmos". Here is the one on time. But if you don't feel like watching the whole thing then zoom through to about the 18th minute and watch until the 25th minute. He explains it well.
