"The footage violated the Geneva Convention, the International Committee of the Red Cross said.
International Committee of the Red Cross spokeswoman Nada Doumani said the showing of the prisoners on TV violates Article 13 of the Geneva Conventions, which says prisoners should be protected from public curiosity."
Did anyone see MSNBC news yesterday morning? It was on after Sunrise on Channel 7? It featured a journalist embedded with marines who had captured Iraqi POWs and he was showing the cameras all the Iraqi POWs, shining the spotlight and camera in their faces etc. Isn't that a breach of the Convention too?
I support our troops over there and I support regime change, but I don't support double standards.
