Actually that is not true. As per MLXs shareholder update, which was released on February 9th along with MLX initial offer, they targeted production at the end of 2015 (refer to page 5)
Of course its no done deal yet, we will have to wait and see what happens in the next days and weeks. But if NST does acquire the CTGP and don't overpay i think it will be another piece of the puzzle to reach 1 Mio ounces in three years time.
