Nothing wrong with what you are saying but I’d add a little clarity around "cloud"
Basically we have two types
- Azure (Microsoft public cloud) Amazon etc –Resource (Capacity / CPU etc) comes from enterprise kit brought direct from vendors.
- Private Cloud (IaaS etc) – Typically using mid-tier resources (HP 3Par + Blade) + SPLA Licensing – All supplied by distributors like DDR
Private cloud has a number of advantages over public ( latency, better governance on over subscription, Private Network connectivity etc) and IMO DDR will do well in this high growth area.
