It might be best to avoid reading most ARQ posts for the time being.

We are seeing typical posts here when a stock is around the bottom of a correction or has underperformed on the ASX.

The sort of posts that are in my opinion NO HELP and probably hinder some peeple from making a sensible investment.

While ARQ has underperformed on the ASX in the real world of profits and losses ARQ is making record profits, has plenty of cash, no debt and is unhedged.

Based on current prices ARQ is again set for a bumper 2005 - 2006 AND 2006 - 2007 year.

There are posts suggesting one should have bailed out of ARQ around $2.20, anticipating this sort of correction.

The issue of course is this:

If one correctly anticipates continued strength in the energy sector, why should someone bail out of an energy stock that is going to make record profits, has a great debt free balance sheet, great exploration prospects and is trading on a low prospective 2005 - 2006 PE?

Why should one act irrationally in anticipation of the market being totally STUPID towards that stock?

Of course selling out worked this time.

But making irrational decisions based on the second guessing the market behaving irrationally and I believe those who do will end up losers over a period of time.

Haven't they heard of such a thing as a MEDIUM TERM INVESTMENT? Probably not. That is also why there are so many losers in this game.

They make good stock picks then consistently bail out.

Even should they bail out correctly - and that is not as easy to do as some make out here - they will usually not reenter the stock at the appropriate time because their funds have been diverted elsewhere to the next perceived "hot" stock.

I pay no attention to the "Instant Gratification Crowd" consistently posting in this ARQ thread.
