I don't think your analysis is entirely wrong. As most bulls on here have said we expect a period of low to no growth and even a small consolidation over the coming years. That's what the property market tends to do in OZ. But that is not a crash. You'd do well (as you said) to change your terminology to consolidation. Unless that won't get the desired attention?
If you think bears haven't predicted doomsday you should read back through the forum. Don't try and defend them because it just makes you look silly. "burn" "crash" "doomsday" they've all been used with figures up to 50%-60% drops.
Re low interest rates;
CBA has 5 years fixed at 4.59% which is below the standard variable rate. I'll repeat in case it was missed. 5 years. You can try and predict interest rates but I'll bet my house (well at least the payments on my house) that the CBA will be more accurate. Low rates are here for some time.
