    If you got rid of preferential voting, then maybe the representation should be directly related to the amount of primary votes.

    If it did, this would be the make up of Queensland's 89 seats.
    41% LNP = 37 seats
    38% Labor = 34 seats
    21% Others = 18 seats

    I suspect preferential voting would be the lesser of the evils for obtaining a workable parliament.
