I am cursing the day we got free shares in NRMA etc, because prior to that I had no idea what shares were. Also the invention of the internet, where we could trade shares without a broker. Perhaps stocks should have remained accessible only to the aristocracy and not everyday people like me, as It used to be.

For Jamie Packer or Gina Rinehart to lose some money is nothing. I have no money left for retirement.
