Your comments provide an interesting take on the psyche of Australia. In my opinion the underlying message you have is a large part of the reason why Australia is slipping down the 'happy' index. There is a general attitude of we want it, we want it now and if I cannot see A then it must be B. Of course many bits of information taken in isolation are true - narrow minded is a common term often used to describe micro thinking. That is not my point, what is the relevance of this information in the bigger picture, how do you wish to join the dots and create an image of what is real? If predisposed to negativity then the 'bits' will serve your view of the world, the opposite may be true for those with a positive disposition and somewhere in the middle for those at a crossroads.
