Australia, 11 April 2006: Visiomed Group Ltd (ASX:VSG) is pleased to provide the following update on the status of its manufacturing upgrade project. As announced in November 2005, the company has initiated a major upgrade of the Funhaler incentive asthma spacer manufacturing. The project is well underway and the company has achieved a major milestone with new tool moulds completed, assembled and tested. With availability of new tools the company is commencing qualification and validation processes in preparation for initial production runs. “The manufacturing upgrade project is on track and proceeding well and the company is continuing to meet or exceed its announced milestones. We have every confidence that the upgrade will allow full production by end of 2nd quarter of 2006 as previously targeted and announced. The new tools and manufacturing upgrade will significantly decrease production costs and allow us to meet the high volume, low cost manufacturing required for entry into overseas markets” said Visiomed Chief Executive, Dr. William Dolphin.
The first commercial iteration of the Funhaler, produced on low-volume pilot tools, was released in Australia in late 2005 and has been well received by consumers and healthcare professionals. The company has sold through all of its manufactured stock. The updated manufacturing, in addition to advantages in production cost and output capability, will allow incorporation of enhanced features in the Funhaler as well as provide a range of accessories (e.g., interchangeable incentive modules, new product configurations, etc.) expected to broaden acceptance by consumers.

Everything falling into place for Visio as they have predicted, is definately all upside now and with the oppies still having 2 yrs to play there's plenty of upside to have there as well.
Patience will definately be rewarded on this one.
But, thats only my opinion.
