To a degree, yes, it would be pleasing if my hypothesis turns out to be right, because this means my investment process is validated to a certain extent. If my hypothesis turns out to be wrong, then it can also be a cheap learning exercise.

To get back to the original point, the latest announcement provides no clarify IMO. Of major concern is how they just brushed off the low interest question. The answer was that they need to maintain the cash in China to act on opportunities. The problem with that answer is that term deposits are available in China, and the penalty for breaking term deposits is miniscule compared to the interest forgone. Hence there is no reason in logic and practicality as to why interest income is so low. The issue has been raised by the AFR, and if everything is kosher with the accounts, it is not too difficult to clarify.

I am not trying to have an argument with you. As you can see above, I have my reasons for doubting the stock. It is ONLY AN OPINION. You can discuss it, ignore it, rebut it. It is up to you. But calling an opinion as stupid or whatever, without any basis or reasons, is just baiting and more importantly, does not advance understanding or knowledge of SBB.

U once again going over old ground the low amount of interest issue was clarified....by an announcement...it ended up being the way interest earned was treated..

I refer UR attention to the amended cashflow announcement...

Ur constant going over old ground which has been dealt with is a bit tedious and a waste of posters time to have to keep correcting U and pointing U to the facts....can U please read all the announcements again...and stop repeating questions that are repeated time and time again....to be answered nearly every day.
