Not really.

The reason chooks have been in the past fed antibiotics is to keep them healthy from infections they get from living together up close & friendly.
These infections while not life threatening,( scouring etc) drag down their overall health & they dont convert feed to meat.
And if this occurs for the entire 6 weeks of thier short life they have less MEAT on them


Same thing as when we are ill & lose weight.
We lose muscle (meat) not fat.

Put simply
The IMU process just helps chooks improve their natural resistance to infection without the use of antibiotics so they are healthier, stronger.
And they can then convert their food to meat
