Congratulations fishy - you have manage to finally get something right!! Spot on - there was no such thing as a global financial crisis. There was a problem in the northern hemisphere but no impact in Aus / Asia - the 7/8% Chinese growth kept our economy going. It just gave Rudd and his labor economically illiterate cronies an excuse to go on a spending spree - and gee wiz the corrupt ex Union hacks did that all right champ!
