Jetski, once upon a time Australians were free to do their "thing".! We went to Gallipolli, Europe (twice), Japan, Korea, 'Nam....... Some were blooded pre 'Nam in the Congo, fighting some real nasties who slaughtered the vey people helping them. After 'Nam, some fought in Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe, against Mugabe and his terrorists. Dont you wish now they had won? No, you probably dont. It was the opinion of persons like yourself that caused Rhodesia to fall and Zimbabwe under Mugabe to surface. Then Malcolm Fraser made it illegal for Aussies to fifgt in foreign wars. During the Kosovo and other Yugoslovakian wars, Australians of Yugo extraction went back on holidays to do their bit. The Federal Govt knew, but turned a blind eye for electoral reasons. So Hicks was doing his thing way before 911, fought in the Balkans on the same side as the UN, and you shirtlifters want to crucify him? Are you Aussie or a "blow in""? Give him a go!
