A young investor from Australia won the lottery and was able to move to Tahiti, then Bora Bora, and had alot of money. He met a really beautiful Tahitian "Vahine" and fell in love with her. One night, under the Tahitian moon, he was telling her about the day he arrived in Tahiti, and when he said the name of the capital, and pronounced it "Pa-Pete", she laughed. "It's "pa-pay-e-tay".
We pronounce our vowels seperately, even if they are together. And there are no silent "e's." I am not wearing a "pare-oo". She then noticed that his legs were thrashing around vigorously. She asked "Why are you moving your legs like that?" He responded "Because the mosq-oo-ee-tos are biting my fay-et!"
I can't see his posts, maybe he won't come back.
