Hi Mick - at long last will be heading to Ireland in May/June this year. Will be staying a week at St John's Point then on to Galway and Kenmare. Tight lines hopefully.
Regarding this thread: my wife was held in a State run Catholic industrial school in the 50/60's. The Church backed by the political system broke so many children and their families in those times. the lifetime scars remain. There is no wonder pent up feelings are simmering. There was an inquiry in Ireland much like the present one in Oz but will there be change?
A never ending task when power and materialism hides behind religious egos of all denominations.
