Who said that AGO/BCI and GBG were producing the same grade iron ore that BHP and RIO are producing.
If you want to cut to the nitty gritty. BHP and RIO Do have, Do Produce AND Do Sell lower grade iron ore like AGO and BCI. Not All RIO and BHP Iron Ore is 62%Fe.
Both BHP and RIO are running out fast of High Grade DSO in The Pilbara.
Africa will come on line with High Grade DSO as The Pilbara starts to run out of it.
Parts of Africa will be The New Pilbara.
The difference with the larger Low cost to Produce African Deposits is that their High Grade DSO is at or near Surface, not 50mts- 100mts or more under the surface. That is why once funding has been sourced for them, they will be a very big threat to BHP, Vale and RIO.

Not All iron ore BHP Produce is easy and cheap for them to get out of the ground.
I believe from memory, it is BHP's Area C deposit that is under water, they have pumps going 24/7 to be able to dig the iron ore out. The deposit on the other side of the range from the Marillana deposit once owned by Brockman Mining.

Roy Hill figures have been published, at the selling price at present they are losing money if producing and selling, Fact. Theirs is not High Grade. Their start off spend on Mine, Rail and Port is Huge.
I have done research on Hancock Mining and Roy Hill several years ago, when I had shares in FRS and BRM. In fact the old BRM tenement at Marillana is surrounded by RIO on the West, BHP in the South running along the range, FMG to the North across The Fortescue Swamp and FMG and Hancock tenements to the East. BHP Rail line running through the centre of the Marillana tenement.
