I cant see it having a huge affect on the price of silver , personally ,because if you are making hundreds of percent in an investment you dont quibble about 1%here and there .The best they can hope for is to slow the rate of rise , but in the case of silver where you have huge short positions open that could need to be bought back at some stage (silver stockpiles are dwindling ) and the trillions of dollars looking for a home away from the dollar , raising margins ,will be like laying paddle pop sticks across the railway line to stop the train .
