I have been playing around with a long term Gold Futures chart for ages tonight, using many different timeframes and wave sizes.
.
So OK what about this as a long shot....... a 'what if ' scenario if you like ??
Compare these two..... and judge if they are similar enough to be justified.
Firstly the traditional Wyckoff Accumulation schematic, including the full explanation.

and the Weekly Gold Futures chart, with a very large $50 wave over it, for very long term analysis.
haha, I know it is a long shot, and the highs in particular which form the 'creek' are not really 'text book' perfect.
However, the similarity occured to me while I was studying it and it is rare for the 'real' markets to offer a 'text book perfect' set up anyway, so some variation of the actual text book set up's are to be expected.
Just remember this is a weekly bar chart, witha a very large wave, so everything on it moves in very slow motion, and is just a "what if"
