re: rio/bhp are so cheap now !! - jazzmox a bubble can't form unless the underlying fundamentals are good.

The stockmarket bubble of 1929 happened because of the roaring 20's. Many took margin loans and bought stock and everything was great, US economy grew rapidly. Quite many even say that stocks were still undervalued at the peak before the 1929 crash, and I buy that logic. A depression still happened.
Just like BHP and RIO can still be undervalued now. Does not protect the market from a crash though!

I don't think it'll get that bad but a crash can happen even if stocks seem undervalued
