In the end, like all other players inside and outside of the region, Israel has a right to be selfish when its existence is at stake. There is a lot more at stake for Israel than for than just about any other country (how many other countries on this planet are so openly threatened by others with annialation from one day to the next simply because they are there and they are who they are?). I'll have to post some of Nasrallah's videos for you (didn't I do this recently without response?).
The questioning of Israel's morales rampantly continues without the same consideration and moral questioning of all its neighbours and those plotting its downfall. Iran is Israel's biggest concern - it is destabilising and threatening Israel's existence on multiple fronts and it is doing the same to other countries. So how dare Obama negotiate a deal that in the end, relies on only trust with Iran and ignores the consideration of Iran's neighbours when veryone knows full well that Ayatollah-baby has no intention of complying?
In the end, the only way that appears to work in the region is a heavy hand. The introduction of the equivalent of a political 'naughty corner' might make some people outside feel good about themselves, but the reality is, it just plays into the hands of those with a deathwish - i.e. the same people whose bible has been telling them that the battlefield is the answer. The 'naughty corner' only works when eveyone accepts and applies the same moral compass from conception. I guarantee you that the Quranic moral compass has no qualms about the zero worth of the 'naughty corner'.
In the end, the only thing that will solve this mess is for some major epiphany to hit all muslims - an undisputed miracle before their very eyes (that's if god exists) - if not (no god and no epiphany), the farce is the only other thing that will quell this mess (until the next time) is an iron fist - something that our Western morals teach us does not compute.
