    Good morning jessie,

re " I'll have to post some of Nasrallah's videos for you (didn't I do this recently without response?). "

You did indeed, and I did listen to them. There were 2...one short, one long..I listened to the short one at the time, the long one next day when I had more time, and indeed I didnt respond to them specifically, I concede. If you look back at the chronology of my postings at that time, you'll see I was away for 4-5 days at that time attending a funeral in Perth, and when i got back the moment had passed.
So, I will respond now, and my response is in the form of a question......."What did you expect" ? Sure, Hassan rants well, but what can he really say?
Hezbolleh was formed during the Israeli occupation of Lebanon....and its resistance did successfully drive Israel out. Then, during the 2006 Lebanon war, it successfully dissuaded Israel from its ground incursion, rather fiercely. Its very purpose is to resist Israel. Thus, Hezbolleh has to "maintain the rage" to be effective.....and thus receives the odd "pep talk" from Nasrallah...... so what else could he do but rant against Israel? Seriously? Just like Israelis rant against Iran and Hamas.....
Hassan saying anything nice or pro Israel would be akin to me walking into a meeting of the "White Knights of the Klan" meeting wearing a pastel sheet and giving a talk on multiculturalism.....I wouldnt get out in one piece.
No, i'm not a supporter, lol, but I understand the "why"...
What about Netanyahu......does he go a day without threatening to attack someone? He has to put on a front for the benefit of his hardline supporters, too.
It was only his promise that there would be no Palestine for the Palestinians that got him re-elected, wasnt it? It all seems like a big game at times, eh?

re " Iran is Israel's biggest concern -....."
Agree, but not for the reason usually stated.
The Iranian Ayatollahs have always maintained that Iran has a religious decree that is "binding" against nuclear weapons. Now, how could they prove that? You dont believe that, Netanyahu doesnt believe that, I remain agnostic on that issue....
    "
TEHRAN, Iran Iran sought Tuesday to spell out in its clearest terms yet that it is not seeking nuclear weapons, highlighting a religious decree issued by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei that bans nuclear weapons.

The latest reference to Khamenei's declaration is seen as a bid to close the door on debates that Iran may have carried out atomic bomb trigger tests as inspectors from the U.N. atomic watchdog were on their way to Tehran for a new round of discussions.

Iran authorities have often cited Khamenei's religious edict, made more than seven years ago, in attempts to counter Western suspicion that Iran could be moving toward nuclear arms. But Iranian leaders now appear increasingly desperate to reopen talks with world powers as a possible way to ease sanctions."
    "
"There is nothing higher than the exalted supreme leader's fatwa to define the framework for our activities in the nuclear field," he told a press conference.

Mehmanparast could not be more definitive in dispelling suspicions that Iran may ultimately develop a nuclear weapon.

"We are the first country to call for a Middle East free of nuclear weapons," he said. When the highest jurist and authority in the country's leadership issues a fatwa, this will be binding for all of us to follow. So, this fatwa will be our top agenda."

Mehmanparast said Westerners "don't have an accurate understanding of Islamic beliefs and fatwas issued by great scholars," suggesting that the U.S. and its allies must take Khamenei's edit seriously."

Could they be telling the truth? I know your answer, but Obama seems to think it might be true... (and I know what your reaction to that will be ) Psst, I dont like Obama either.
Could the real reason for Israel's obsession with Iran be that Iran supports Syria, which must fall to Israel to fulfill the prophecy of the "Promised Land"? I dont know how many actually believe that.

Re " So how dare Obama negotiate a deal that in the end, relies on only trust with Iran and ignores the consideration of Iran's neighbours when veryone knows full well that Ayatollah-baby has no intention of complying?".....I reiterate that I dont like Obama, but just maybe he has peaceful intent on this occasion??? How do you KNOW "that Ayatollah-baby has no intention of complying?"....and can you prove it? No, I'm not being a smart ass...do we have proof?
See, Saddam maintained that he had no WMD, didnt he? And I bet you didnt believe him.. ...and it turned out he really didnt. And thus a country was completely destroyed for nothing.

re " I guarantee you that the Quranic moral compass has no qualms about the zero worth of the 'naughty corner'.".... I have to agree there, in terms of occurrences present and during the last decade or so. Q'ranic interpretations and religious sentiments, predominantly sentiments against other religions, have changed in my view over that time, with each side now believing that it is under attack from the other. But is it really? It seems that way. Maybe the catch-cry of "Its all about religion is true"?

" (that's if god exists)"..... an interesting thought. If sometime in the future alien life is found to exist, that will smash virtually all religions to pieces, wont it? (No, I'm not a believer in reptilians, lol, but Kerry Packer DID look like his code name of "Goanna".. )
and if all religions fall, there will be no more wars in the name of religion?

    GZ
