Interesting Boston Mass. article I just found from 9th April 2015 sponsored by J.M. Electrical (advanced automated building control systems...) - link to their site below and some fairly large clients they work with as well.
Whilst the internal link in the article referencing WBT tech is one of the first news items from Sept 2014 (and a crappy one at that

), it was more then way the context of the sentence comes across. Notice "is" used?...not... could be, or might be or potentially. Now maybe the writer has poor grammar / context / doesn't understand biometrics....or maybe not?
Are we in the US pitching to other industries we aren't aware of at the moment? Could this industry be a simple "in" for the tech as a start? I'll be looking for more around this now....
Innovations in Biometrics Advance Building Security [Infographic]
"One way biometrics
is used in building security involves
scanning a person’s tears to create an impenetrable password. That person can be recognized because the corneas have a unique map, and if criminals try to steal data or gain access to a building it will be rendered invalid upon use."
