If the Howard Government made the bottom of the harbor scheme unlawful and did so retrospectively, which was the case, and made whoever engaged in this far from acceptable behavior, some called it "tax avoidance" like you when in fact it was "tax evasion"of the highest order.

Strip a company pf all its assets, pay no tax on profits or retained earnings that should have been paid out as dividends, then sign the company to someone that was homeless or had no fixed address, was kosher I suppose.

The promoters were paying accounts around 15.00% of the tax saving as an incentive to sign up their clients. Really clever accounting or just criminal??

As far as the "crazy left" comment is concerned, if John Howard in your opinion is a lefty??

Mate, you seem to miss the point about tax avoidance, in your eyes its fair game, and cry foul when caught out as being unfair and blame the crazy lefty's, like John Howard & Peter Costello.
