I think many posters because of being better informed shied away from the doomsayers in Dec 2005.

These guys, some were prominent international letter writers, claimed that a drastic correction was to come early 2006.

Later on, they became frantic when nothing happened; presumably they may well have been shorting also and this made them even more desperate calling for lower prices.

Amazingly, they acted like a herd but up to now, nothing happened apart from precious metals rising faster.

They left their clients high and dry waiting for that elusive lower point to enter, it never came. A lot of money was lost because these writers went too far.

Fortunately, a more saner attitude prevailed on HC and we have greatly benefitted, mainly because of excellent economic data coming in all the time and the already significant knowledge developed.

Of course, a correction will occur sooner or later but sofar, those informed posters with fundamental knowledge did extremely well and some millionaires were created in that time while these letter writers missed out or made heavy losses.
