There was a picture of a dead eagle or some such at the foot of a wind turbine.
Now, wind turbines, when they move, are pretty darn slow. You can follow the rotation with your eyes. It's not like a fan or an engine turbine where everything becomes a blur.
Now, even I know those large, majestic birds of prey have eyesight that's second to none. They can spot a small mouse or some such, swoop down and grab it with their claws. Pretty impressive.
But some how, these same birds are too slow or dumb to miss a collision with a whopping big, highly visible, wind generator turbine blade??
If that really is the case, can I suggest countless more birds must have died over the eons in mid-air collisions with one another.
