Interesting summary. Nothing really new there. I cannot see anything changing because the fundamantals of Islam are inimical to those very things. Any effort to change will ultimately collapse because of the tension between the modern Western system and Islam. There are two places I now watch with interest, it used to be only Iran, but now I include Turkey. As much as Turkey tries it has to impose secularism on its population. With democracy that could change and Islam rise.
