Back in the "old days"
we didn't need too many cops on the street armed like SAS commandos
Pubs closed at 6 so alcohol wasn't the problem it is today
Cars were built to fit as many people you could fit in them
Teachers had respect
Police had respect
Parents had respect
..and if they didn't get your respect
you got a flogging
Most kids played at least one sport and no one knew what autism was...or ADD ..or bipolar
Drugs were something you bought at the Chemist shop and people didn't have to rely on a smart phone to communicate with someone else
We were lucky enough back then to be able to call a spade a spade without having to look over your shoulder to see whether a CCTV was spying on you
Based on what my values are - I don't think life has improved
That's my take on it
